What we collect, why, and what we never do with it.
Last updated 18 October 2026.
What we collect
From Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture.
What you give us: the views you upload, the renders made from them, what you type (materials, light, notes), projects and collections, and anything you add to your profile.
When you ask for access: your name, email, role, city and anything else you write in the form.
To keep things running: basic records of renders made and errors, so we can count your renders, refund failed ones and fix problems.
How we use it
To make your renders, run your account, count and refund renders, email you about your account (and news, if you leave that on), and improve Hocus.
We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your uploads to train AI models.
Who helps us run Hocus
Your views are sent to Google's AI service (Vertex AI) to make renders. Files and accounts are stored with Supabase, the app runs on Google Cloud, and emails are sent through Resend. They process data for us only to provide their service.
What other people can see
Nothing, unless you share it. A render you share to the community, and projects you put on your profile, show with your name and the settings used. You can unshare or hide them at any time.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
Your choices
Turn off news emails in Profile → Account. To see, correct or delete your data, or delete your account, email us. We keep your files while your account is open and delete them when you ask us to close it.
